Running update:
2.6 miles running 4:1 (with one 3:1 thrown in when it was hard). Our best time yet, 2 mile averaged at 12:46/mile.
No calf cramps today (I was praying hard) but it felt harder with all 4:1. I feel great right now. I'll add some yoga in today to stretch those calf muscles. I also checked Runner's World.com to find exercises to strengthen feet and ankles. I'll look for more today. I also need to head to the store for potassium-rich foods.
We were joined by another newbie today. It has been fun to watch this grow.

I cannot believe how much running you are doing it is so impressive. My first run is slated for tomorrow. I'm so excited. I was going to go earlier this week but I had to go on a business trip. Red eye flights at 3am are not conducive to getting up for running. Keep posting about your running. I love reading it.
You are doing so awesome!!!!!! If I was going to be here this fall, I'd try running with you gals. Keep up the good work. You are so going to be ready for the 5K!
I am so glad to hear you are doing so well! Adding to the group too!
If you want a great running snack, buy dates! They are portable and have 4 times more potassium than bananas. I usually slice them open, remove the pit and add a walnut half to the center. Then you just squeeze it closed again. You can put them in a plastic bag and carry them with you. A lot of people don't know what great little snacks they are!
